Notes Window
Many of the special tools windows allow you to write notes about a calculation, perhaps to explain it or to describe its purpose.
Most such windows have a button labelled 'Notes'. Other windows show an icon like either of those shown below. Clicking on such a button or icon allows you to make notes on the calculation you are performing. When
you save a calculation, any notes you have recorded will be saved along with the data.
You can drag the Notes window's borders to change its size, and you can click on the 'Font...' button to change the font. If you change the size or the font, these will be remembered. Future instances of the Notes window will use the size and font that you last chose.
When
notes have been recorded, even if they have not yet been saved, the button's image (if it has one) changes from
the first one shown on the left (a closed notebook) to this
one: ![]()
The Plot Functions window provides a Notes window for every plot. Be sure to select the appropriate plot before opening the Notes.
