Options – Appearance
This window is accessed via the menu item Options / Other and clicking on the 'Appearance' tab.
This window gives a choice of font sizes, background colour, and transparency for the main window.
Click on either 'Small', 'Medium' or 'Large' to choose the font size, and click on 'Color...' to select the background colour. It is probably best to stick to very pale colours for the background. When the font size is made larger, UltimaCalc's main window may adjust its size to suit.
Transparency
This feature can be useful when UltimaCalc is set to always remain on top of other windows (see the 'General' tab). With transparency set to Off, the main UltimaCalc window will behave like a normal window, remaining fully visible when the focus is moved to some other window.
With transparency turned on, the window allows you to see through it to any window underneath. The window can remain on screen on top of other windows without blocking your view of them.
Transparency can be turned on and off without affecting the chosen setting, by using a control on the General tab.
Note that the controls for transparency do not appear when UltimaCalc is used on an operating system that does not support this.
