Options – Date Format
This window is accessed via the menu item Options / Other and clicking
on the 'Dates' tab.

Format for Input
Click the appropriate option to choose the format to be used when entering a date to be calculated with. When the check box labelled 2 digit year is ticked, years entered as 00 to 39 will be interpreted as 2000 to 2039, and years entered as 40 to 99 will be interpreted as 1940 to 1999. If the check box is unticked, these years will be taken as being in the range 0 to 99. Even with this check box ticked, you can still enter years outside the range 1940 to 2039 by entering the full year number, of usually four digits.
The control labelled 'Sep' allows a choice of separator: use a dash, or a dot, or a slash, or any of these characters, provided that both are the same. For more information, see Time and Date.
Verbose Date Format for Output
This is the format used for showing dates, both in UltimaCalc's main window and as the current date in a log file heading. The displayed date is considered to be made up of four substrings. Choose what you want shown in each of the substrings. UltimaCalc will show a sample date in the selected format.
The 'Year without century' option normally shows the year in only 2 digits, covering the years
1940 to 2039. Years outside this range will be shown in the format used for 'Year with century',
using as many digits as required. This can be confusing for years in the range 1CE to 99CE (1AD to 99AD).
Although it would seem sensible to keep both formats compatible, UltimaCalc does not enforce this.
