Plot Options Window

To change the display properties of a plot, or graph, click on the plot window with the right mouse button. When only a single plot is displayed, changing the options changes only that plot. When several plots are displayed together, changing the options changes only the features relevant to displaying all plots, i.e. the background colour and the settings for the axes. Individual plots are unchanged in this case.

The screenshots shown here give only a hint of the variety that is possible.

A plot of sin(x)/x.

Select the Lines, Colors, Font tab to select which lines are to be shown, their colours, and their thicknesses. This tab also allows changing the colours of the markers and the background.

Select the Markers tab to specify what kind of marker, if any, to show for the data points. You can change the marker's colour here, too. The available markers are shown on top of the selected background colour.

Select the Axis Settings tab to specify where to draw the axes, to specify non-default ranges for the X and Y values, and whether or not to show labels and grid lines.

An plot of an astroid, shown by drawing randomly located markers.

The 'Cancel' button undoes any changes you have made, and closes the window.
