Data Transformations
In some special tool windows, UltimaCalc can apply transformations to be applied to the supplied data. For each item of data, it is first evaluated (though it will usually be simply a number), then the transformation is applied to the result. When all items have been treated in this way, the specialised calculation is then performed on the data.

To apply a transformation, double click on the label to the left of its input box. In windows that can apply transformations, a tool tip text will appear if you leave the mouse over this label. Once a transformation has been defined, this tool tip text will also appear when the mouse is left over the input box, and the text will remind you of the transformation being used. You can apply a built-in transformation by clicking on its radio button. Click on 'None' to remove the transformation.
To define your own transformation, enter it in the box at the bottom. The
transformation is always defined in terms of the dummy variable x,
regardless of how the data item is labelled elsewhere. The example shows the almost
trivial transformation of adding one to the item's value.
