Variables Window

To gain access, select the menu item View / Variables.

This window shows all variables and constants currently defined, along with their values. It also shows the definitions of user-defined functions. The window’s size can be altered to some extent by dragging its edges or corners. If you click on an item with the left mouse button, the item will be underlined.

The left hand column shows whether an item is a variable, a constant, or a function. To convert an item from a variable to a constant, or vice versa, or to delete an item, click on it with the right mouse button. The item will be underlined and a menu will pop up.

When an item is deleted, it remains visible in the window until the window is closed. This allows you to change your mind about deleting the item, while the window remains open. The two items named 'last' and 'pi' cannot be altered.

In the bottom left, there are two buttons: 'Copy' and 'Log'. The 'Copy' buttonsends all data to the Windows clipboard as plain text; 'Log' writes the data to the log file. Once the Log button has been clicked, it will be ghosted until changes are made. This confirms that the button has been used and prevents accidental repeated use which would serve no useful purpose.
